Ben Morley is an urban landscape painter based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

"Since a young age I have been visually fascinated by urban environments and this interest has always informed my practice. Since relocating from the UK to Australia in 2004, the inner-city of Sydney has been my subject. I attempt to document and tell a story of the Sydney I see. A city of history and hidden beauty that is ever changing. I attempt to capture portraits of the the city as it evolves"
Ben paints abstract representations of inner city Sydney in oil and acrylic on canvas. Drawing from observation and photographic source material, he builds his paintings in thin layers, applying the technical knowledge learnt as an abstract painter to landscape-based subjects; allowing the viewer to trace the history and development of the work.
